Mickey Wagner

Mickey was born in Northridge, CA. His birth name is Michael Carl Wagner, but his family has always called him Mickey. Very early Mickey moved to Redondo Beach, CA and grew up as a beach kid.

Mickey always displayed an artistic side, but credits his mother as his inspiration to paint as part of living a healthy life.

His favorite medium is acrylic with water and will choose oil for paintings that take 4 or more hours of work to finish. He works mostly with a brush and uses texturing techniques such as using a knife as an edge.

Mickey only took a single acrylic painting class but was taught to work with oil by his mother.

To date, Mickey has exhibited his paintings in an Palos Verdes Art Center Exhibit and has several painting on consignment in local venues.
